Engizek Outpoints Humburger; Čepo’s One‑Punch KO Steals the Spotlight at Oktagon 77
Oktagon MMA’s Tipsport Gamechanger tournament returned to Bratislava’s Tipos Arena with an 11‑fight lineup. In the headliner, Germany’s Kerim Engizek outpointed Dominik Humburger across three rounds, using measured striking and takedown defence to win a unanimous decision. The co‑main event was explosive: Slovak star Vlasto Čepo floored Daniel Schwindt with a right hook and finished him at 3:38 of the first round. Former UFC middleweight Krzysztof Jotko made a successful promotional debut, controlling Iranian grappler Hojat Khajevand en route to a unanimous decision.
Elsewhere on the main card, veteran Ivan Buchinger reminded fans of his grappling chops, securing a ninja choke on Irishman Richie Smullen at 1:40 of round 3. Jaime Cordero’s TKO of Samuel “Pirát” Krištofič—caused by a dislocated elbow in the first round—was another memorable moment. The undercard delivered close contests: Marco Novák edged Daniel Solaja by split decision, as did Konrad Dyrschka over Tomáš Cigánik and Belgium’s Ayton De Paepe over Karol Ryšavý. Slovakia’s Veronika Smolková defeated Ana Carolina Araujo, and local kickboxing ace Monika Chochlíková outpointed Atenea Flores under Muay Thai rules. Jorick Montagnac closed the event with a decision win over Mateusz Duczmal.
